An excellent Monday Morning to YOU and the people you CARE About...
Let's get right to it... Life isn't short by a long shot. What you are doing with your everyday life can make in meaningful or worthless. People enjoy saying that 'Life is Short' as a means of motivation.
Life is what you truly make it to be. If you believe that it is short, how will your mind wrap itself around a future? We must make decisions as if our future matters. The people we confide in, the food we eat, our career choices; everything we involve ourselves in must have a future attached it to. Life isn't short by a long shot.
People think its admirable to say that an 80 year old died too young. When in all actuality, this 80 year old died, living in their future, possibly further than their future's expectation.
Live as if your life will be a long one; live for your future and align yourself with like spirits which are living the same way. Fun in the present is your past' future. Wouldn't be nice to think about the fun you'll have 30 years from now? It should be...
Have an excellent Monday Morning and you'll have an excellent week.

Monday Morning Motivation (3/7/11)
An Excellent Monday Morning is YOURS!
Personally, I must say that last Monday Morning was a changing point in my life. I not only write these letters, I live these letters. And last week, I was hit by a shot of motivation. Those that believe in me, still believe after all these years.
In a society driven by proving people wrong or accepting jealousy as a right of passage, I choose my friends, colleagues and family as my motivation. I've stayed so far away from the "hate", dodging it whenever I could. Why would I want for someone to continue telling me that I am not capable? Why would I want to keep my enemy closer? I don't see the point in either option. There is more to life. And that MORE can be achieved through one way, support.
So on this Monday Morning, use the process of elimination to shine a light on the people which without a shadow of a doubt, bring worth to your life. And to create a circle of motivation, "Support your Supporters."
Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you'll have an excellent week.

Monday Morning Motivation (2/7/11)
This is your morning!
Ok, it won't be easy but it is definitely your morning. You must do one thing: Live in the Moment. Living in the moment isn't easy when you haven't a clue of what is distracting you from doing so.
Distractions have grown into a way of life for many of us, unknowingly. Whether it's social networking, mainly social networking, texts, emails, BBM, Skype, relationships, etc. distractions are the gate keepers to us living in the moment.
The old adage of stopping to smell the roses has become, "At least don't crush the rose as you speed by."
This morning, take a moment to think about your everyday life; your everyday distractions. What can you do to ease off or simply calm your mindstate to lessen these distractions; to focus on the here and now. We tend to build better futures for ourselves when we plan for those moments now. We must afford paying attention. Live in the moment.
Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you'll have an excellent week.

Monday Morning Motivation (12/13/10)
Great Monday Morning!
It feels so good to be back. Back at it everyday, taking no prisoners or names. Being in that special zone that we all have; when everything falls into place.
You'll be surprised how often things fall into place; that if you pay attention to everything, not just the struggle, you'll find that your life's triangles, fit in your daily triangle shapes.
This Monday Morning, lets take the time to place the right shape, through the right hole. Squares do not fit into circles. If it isn't working, evolve to a new circle to fit in that space.
For all I know, we only get one of these lives. We have to proceed to what make our shapes fit. Indianapolis Colts Quarterback, Peyton Manning, said something amazing at one of his press conferences last week in regards to adversity: People would tell me hang 'in' there; I was never 'out' there.
We can always be better, we can always adjust on the fly. But sometimes we must stop trying to jam hexagon into a rectangle. (wow, I hope this letter clicks) :)
Have a great Monday morning, and you will have an excellent week. Stay Strong and motivated.

Monday Morning Motivation (12/6/10)
Achievements, large and small are what drives us towards success. They are career incentives, the dots we connect with lines. Achievements are the "set" between "Ready" and "Go". And this morning, this Monday morning will bring new meaning to, "Going Out and Getting It!"
This morning, use your auto-focus, find your balance and set up your achievements for the week. If you're on Twitter and is 500 tweets away from 20,000, set your achievement of 500 tweets in five days. We are not reaching for goals this week; we are reaching achievements. While I'm speaking on Twitter, use www.Laterbro.com - a tweet scheduling site which works wonders for the business minded.
I'd like to thank everyone supporting Monday Morning Motivation. A few sites have picked it up and some are even forwarding it out to their friends and family, so feel free to do the same.
Achieve your personal greatness, your signature greatness. Then share it with the world. Because anything that's humanly seen is humanly possible. Stay strong and motivated.

Monday Morning Motivation (11/1/10)
How sweet is this; not only is it Monday Morning, it is the first Monday amd first day of the month! This morning is the morning!
Make your plans, set your goals, update your calendars, do it all this morning. Do it because it works. Do it because of people like Bear Frazier, which raised close to $4000 for his film project. And although he is naturally driven, he requests that I keep these "MMM" emails coming.
There is power in positivity mixed with intensity. What you do this morning does matter, it does count towards your week. So be like Bear this week.
And please share your success stories with me. Greatness is in you.

Rest in Legendary Peace, Lena Horne.
This morning I woke up to the news that Lena Horne passed away . The chord of my soul was struck. I immediately thought about legacy, the passing of the torch. And sadly came to a conclusion that we're not producing torch bearers as my African-American ancestors once have in the past.
I thought about the sense of responsibility to our future, and how over the years it has become "my future." I thought about how there are babies being born to teenagers, and how those babies will grow up to continue this socially crippling cycle. I thought about how these children will learn about the Civil Rights Movement of the last century, as more of a lesson to get a grade in school, rather than their legacy. We are slipping further away from our DNA, our path, faster than the actual years which passed.
Another trailblazer is no longer with us. And I hurt because I know that a less worthy figure will unceromoniously be handed the torch. Someone will step up and give their condolences, say how much Lena inspired them (yet you hear or see no similarities), and people, mainly media will try to create a story to meet its 24/7 news requirements.
All that I want to hear is that there will never be another Lena Horne; that she will never be replaced. People say that you can't change what is destined. Well legacy is off the table as well. If the torch bearer hasn't named a predecesor, that light is their own, to shine forevermore.

If you use the 'Retweet' button to the right of this post, to post it on your Twitter page, that's another entry. The last way to enter this contest will be for followers to refer this blog to their friends; once your friends follow my blog and leave a comment with your name as a referral, you will gain another entry into the contest for each referral. With that out of the way, check out the conversation I've had with a true Game Changer in her industry.Miasha: This year it gets bigger! With the recent launch of www.WriteBooksForMoney.com, an online community for writers, aspiring authors, editors, publishers, book retailers, distributors, and everybody in the publishing biz to come together network and share resources, promote and sell their works and be updated with industry news. Available on the site are webinars, eBooks, a Forum, Blogs and much more for all the people who seek my advice about any and everything regarding the book business.
I also have a line of hip greeting cards. Lol Greetings by Miasha. They're for today's text and social networking savvy who have a sense of humor and love to laugh. They're cute, chic, modern, hip, and funny! They'll be available as eCards in time for Valentine's Day on www.WriteBooksForMoney.com as well as www.Miasha.com
Last but not least, I have started my own publishing company, Fifth Avenue Entertainment INC, and my first title, "The Return of Chatman" will be released this July, "Miasha Month"! And will prepare my fans and readers for Til Death (Secret Society 3) coming in September!
Oh and by the way, check out the online reality series Road 2 Ritches at Youtube.com/Road2ritches - It's a Fifth Avenue Production.
You've pushed the envelope with your theater adaptation of your first novel "Secret Society". What did you learn about yourself during the process of putting the play together?
Miasha: I've learned that I really go hard. It's not just talk. I have so much ambition, strength, and faith that I can do anything! Really!
What was your most memorable Valentines Day?
Miasha: My most memorable Valentine's Day was the very 1st one I shared with my now husband. It was 1996. We were fourteen years old. The day started bad because it seemed everything was going wrong for me that morning as I was getting ready for school. My hair brush fell in the toilet (ugh) so I couldn't do my hair as neatly as I would have liked. It was just one of those days but that afternoon I met up with Rich and he had a box of chocolates for me and he was so sweet and romantic (even at 14). It made me forget all about that morning.
So I hear that you are closing in on completing the third installment of the Secret Society series? Am I hearing right? Am I in it? :)
Miasha: LMBO Deshair! Til Death (Secret Society 3) is COMPLETE!!! It will be out in September but this gives readers plenty of time to recap! So go out and get Secret Society
, Diary of a Mistress
, Mommy's Angel
, Sistah for Sale
, Never Enough
and Chaser
(and read them in that order). When I tell you that Til' Death will be so worth the wait and such a fulfilling read, I mean it. And I'm not just saying this because I'm the writer. I believe my readers and true fans will appreciate the hell out of this book!
The world has witness a global tragedy watching on as the country of Haiti was ravaged by a 7.2 earthquake. Where were you when you heard about it and how did this tragedy affect you?
Miasha: It's crazy because I don't watch the news so I didn't hear about it until days after it happened. I was in the nail salon and it was on CNN. And I mean, I had heard bits and pieces of something happening in Haiti (when they cut Wendy Williams with a news break for Pres. Obama to speak about it) but I didn't watch it so I didn't know what exactly happened. But when I saw the coverage in the nail salon it hit hard. The devastation was tremendous. I immediately updated my fb status like I'm looking for ways to help.
Miasha: I sure do..."Don't dream your life...Live your dreams!"

The Race to Nowhere: Stick With What Got You There

Ladies, have you ever come to a point in a relationship where you felt that you didn’t want for your connection to be all about sex? I’m sure that most of you have. You feel like once you popped the top on sexual encounters, that each time you get together, sex must take place. And in your mind, it doesn’t matter if you initiated it or not, it’s just the point that now it happens every time, any place.
Getting down to it, to feel that you don’t want for your relationship to be all about sex means that you may have had sex too early in your connection. You feel like you don’t talk or snuggle and kiss as much as you once have. You think about the times when you could kiss your significant other for hours on end and nothing sexual would come of it. Now that you’ve had sex, a kiss that lasts only minutes leads to clothing pealing off.
Now this is where the environment changes. You are disappointed in confused by what you have. You begin to wonder if your significant other is only with you for sex. You want more than that and feel like you only have so many options. I’ll lead with the two options that normally lead to failure.
1. Dodging any and all encounters that could possibly lead to sex. Remember how those kisses once lasted for 20 minutes? Well now, you deliberately cut down the time on the kiss, by pulling away after a short time. Or you simply choose to cut down your time together, altogether; only for a short period of time, you think, but now, you are risking your connection.
2. You begin to deny sex for as long as you feel as you need to, even if you want it just as bad. Suddenly, you start to match up your dates with when you are on your cycle, because this when you feel safest about sex not happening.
Now here is the million dollar question: If your significant other cheats on you during while you are holding off on sex, was your connection all about sex? Let me explain this… ok, so your man cheated on you and now you are angry; you are screaming at him, telling him that all he wanted was sex from you. Depending on the man, you might be right. But what if you’re not? What if you had a man that was dedicated to you and did all he could to stay faithful; however, it was your lack of giving him the emotional and physical connection that he has grown accustomed to, that led him down this road.
Ladies, if you do not want for your relationship to be all about sex, hold off on having sex altogether (no sex to begin with) until you feel that you have the connection you desire out of your significant other. Yes, there are times in sexually active relationships when being sexual isn’t priority like in sickness, after birth, etc. A man that goes elsewhere under these circumstances is heartless for doing so.
However, if you are deliberately denying him sex for long periods of time, you are the one in the wrong. Remember, loyalty doesn’t go in one direction. Don’t believe that your deliberate actions in denying him sex should prove him to being loyal to you, when you are NOT being loyal to him and his needs.
The best way to get through this is conversation. There must be an understanding in place to ensure that you both understand the importance of your overall connection. In all fairness and truth, sex can’t be demoted once it becomes a factor.
So what are you thoughts on these views?

The Race to Nowhere: 2009 Relationship Reform #1

The mind can be a very tricky thing. And sometimes, we don't help it either way. Our perception of things often clutters what is happening in front of us. And in relationships, this couldn't be more true.
Sit down with a couple that has been together for 30+ years and you'll probably hear, "I love him/her more and more each day." You should take this statement for what it is... the truth. With tradition comes consistency, hard work and loyalty that is unbreakable. While today, your significant other could be doing right by you on a daily basis. However, instead of cherishing this positive energy, you see it as something that is 'suppose' to be done.
When did satisfaction become a concern in relationships? People want more and more, not realizing what they already have is golden. Why are we jaded by good deeds done for us? Looking outward, neglecting the gifts given to us...
Relationship Reform #1 - Any relationship that is geared towards outward circumstances is doomed to fail. The "I want to have what he/she is having" approach to relationships is a time tested failure. The 30+ year relationship can not be reached under these guidelines. So take the time out to reevaluate your connection; where could you make a change?
