The Race to Nowhere: Monday Morning... Dreadful/Hopeful

I remember how important 'Monday Morning' was to my first mentor. He'd tell me that while many people complained about Monday coming back around, they really should be welcoming it instead. Monday is your start; the first day that most of us wake up to a screeching, siren blaring, persistent alarm after the restful weekend. Your week will either be a productive one or a miserable one depending on how you feel once this day comes to an end.

So I ask that you take some time out to greet your Monday Morning with good spirits. Today, and every Monday after doesn't have to be so dreadful.

The Race to Nowhere: Relaxer of the Week - Barcardi Mojito

Last night I had the pleasure of being a part of the B-Live Bacardi event held at Greenhouse in NYC. The party of LIVE, the people were beautiful and the music by DJ Egg Foo Young never stopped. Did I forget to mention that Bacardi sponsored this event? Endless pourings of one of my favorite drinks, The Bacardi Mojito made the night complete; so crisp, so clean, so satisfying. Allow me to put you onto how you can make this drink yourself:

Place 12 mint leaves, 1/2 part sugar and 1/2 line in a glass. Muddle well with a pestle. Add Bacardi Rum <---- this is the only Rum that matters. Top off with club soda, stir well and garnish with Sprigs of mint or a wedge of lime. Ingredients: 1 Part Bacardi Superior, 3 Parts Club Soda, 12 Mint Leaves, 1/2 Lime, 1 Wedge of Lime, 1 Tablespoon Sugar
But if you have company stopping through in an hour and would rather forgo buying all the ingredients, you can always buy a bottle of Bacardi Mojito. Except no substitutes.
