Life isn't short by a long shot. What you are doing with your everyday life can make in meaningful or worthless. People enjoy saying that 'Life is Short' as a means of motivation.

Life is what you truly make it to be. If you believe that it is short, how will your mind wrap itself around a future? We must make decisions as if our future matters. The people we confide in, the food we eat, our career choices; everything we involve ourselves in must have a future attached it to. Life isn't short by a long shot.

People think its admirable to say that an 80 year old died too young. When in all actuality, this 80 year old died, living in their future, possibly further than their future's expectation.

Live as if your life will be a long one; live for your future and align yourself with like spirits which are living the same way. Fun in the present is your past' future. Wouldn't be nice to think about the fun you'll have 30 years from now? It should be...

Have an excellent Monday Morning and you'll have an excellent week.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-7513473066178442422011-06-20T07:15:00.000-04:002011-06-20T08:04:49.950-04:00Monday Morning Motivation 6/20/11An Excellent Monday Morning to YOU and the PEOPLE you CARE about...

Stand up... stand up for something you desire; something you can't live without. Question... question the many answers your life has give you to complete the circle. Care beyond yourself without losing yourself... care through honesty not fantasy.

This morning, your life could start all over again if you choose. Or you could bookmark this morning as the moment you began your journey to finally conquer the reoccurring thought in your mind. It is safe to say we all know what it takes to be a greater us. The first step is hard, that second step can't be taken lightly. Your win is waiting...

Have yourself an excellent Monday Morning, and you'll have an excellent week...
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-9341315657334731232011-06-13T07:23:00.000-04:002011-06-13T07:27:03.885-04:00Monday Morning Motivation 6/13/11An Excellent Monday Morning to YOU and the people you care about...

Whatever you were waiting for, this morning, get to it. Get to it because the world around you is changing faster than its ever had. Get to it before somebody else do it. Write it down before you forget it. Pass it along to someone better at executing plans. This morning, get to it.

Prepare your mind for the long haul. And like food as nourishment for your body, be very particular about what nourishes your mind. I can't say this enough, "Slow your life down." Cherish a moment. Stop and smell a rose before you forget what roses smell like. Make time for your passions, whether reading, knitting, painting, etc. Make time for a good friend or family member. Make a phone call instead of a text. Meet up in-person instead of a phone call. Please do not get lost in the speed of new media life. Control what you love and dislike... follow the trend, lose your path.

Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you'll have an excellent week.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-7093553210965852972011-06-07T09:49:00.001-04:002011-06-07T09:50:00.118-04:00Reggie Bush: Can Somebody Say "Selfish"?

Yesterday, the BCS stripped the University of Southern California (USC) of their 2004 National Championship in direct effect of NFL Gadget Player, Reggie Bush actions.

Reggie, now a disgruntled New Orleans Saint, was recently stripped of his Heisman Trophy because the Bush family received impermissible benefits during his college eligibility. Many would say the punishments USC was levied with was far too much, over a college student taking money and gifts. Many would even say that Reggie took money, not steroids. Where is the unfair advantage in that...

Simple, steroids is an unfair advantage on the field. Receiving gifts and benefits for playing a college sport, when many other aren't is an advantage off the field. Yes, college students have been accepting impermissible benefits for decades. Hundreds of college athletes never got caught. But they knew the consequences if they were.

The unfair advantage of receiving gifts as an amateur athlete is separated from college athletes that comes from family with money. People like Reggie was accepting money from people with professional Football connects. By taking this money, decisions could be swayed on a political level. "We give you this, you guarantee us this." A college athlete accepting money from his family member doesn't sway decisions.

College athletes accepting gifts like money, cars, and homes are less likely to be stressed out about their next meal; they also have the unfair advantage of professional trainers working with them, all the necessities to seal a future deal.

Reggie Bush is selfish simply because he knew the consequences of getting caught, but his arrogance blinded his present moment. He cheated his way to a huge Rookie contract and played most of his games in the NFL as a backup running back/gadget player. In the end, his actions have set back USC at least 7-10 years. All the risks swirling in your mind are nothing more than obstacles your previous setbacks created. It's time. It's time to take your life to a new place. It's time to question yourself as to why you haven't taken that next step.

There are so many things you could do with the knowledge you've obtained; so many things you could do with your passions within. Whether moving forward from a failed plan, failed relationship, the process in which we move forward will play a leading role in every move we make afterwards. When we take the smallest steps, we move forward. However, if your goal is to the left or right of you, moving forward, moves you further away.

This morning, pay attention to the reoccurring thoughts which have haunted you; the things you believed you moved forward from but your mind is telling you otherwise. Like in relationships, when they're over, the worst thing we could do is replace the physical, without addressing the mental first. Same thing with our career goals. We must fully address and assess our failures before commanding our future. DO NOT allow those haunting thoughts to scream and howl over your passions. Take command over your past, command your Future.

A Special Congratulations goes out to my friend Adam Bernard. Over the weekend, he received his Masters Degree in American Studies. I remember our conversations when he was thinking about going back to school. He was going back and forth with it too. But when he quieted his past, a few years later, he commanded his future. I'm proud of you sir. A Thank You extends the efforts of those people in your corner. Heartfelt appreciation still matters. And thanking someone is something our current society can't desensitize.

Be courteous. Fight off any awkward energy you may have in saying, "Thank You". Some of us try to use slang to get around it. Some of us simply say we appreciate the kind gestures. But a "Thank You" goes a long way. Your efforts and production will amplify using these two words. It is the simple things which make this life beautiful. I Thank You for YOUR support.

Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you will have an amazing week.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-51363236999026845962011-05-09T07:16:00.001-04:002011-05-09T07:20:02.877-04:00Monday Morning Motivation 5/9/11An Excellent Monday Morning to YOU and the people you care about...

What are you willing to give up, to live up to your greatest possibilities? What are you willing to walk away from to begin from Day 1?

This Monday Morning is your Start/End. Today, you should think about the reality and perceptions of your current life, keep them separated like laundry and choose which parts of your life are worth the wear. Many of us start new paths without labeling these paths in our mind first. If you want to get into the best shape of your life, the reason should not be obvious; it should be real to YOUR life. That reason must fit into the right category to make it YOUR own. No more DVD's in the CD drive. Truly do what works for you.

Have an Excellent Monday Morning, and you will have an Excellent Week!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-68067817723218981782011-05-02T06:58:00.000-04:002011-05-02T08:07:34.964-04:00Monday Morning Motivation 5/2/11An Excellent Monday Morning to YOU and the people you care about...

This is simply a reminder that you can't stop. Obstacles are the one thing every human, no matter the age, will face sometime over the course of our lives. When you reach this obstacle, this checkpoint in your life, it will be difficult to overcome, but you can't stop.

Overcoming Obstacles are the one thing every human, no matter the age, will ACCOMPLISH! Sure, getting over that hump will be the toughest thing you ever do. But you only have to do it ONCE! See, that's your gift of accomplishment. Once you have defeated an obstacle, that obstacle loses its power; you know how to win now; as a matter of fact, you are now able to teach others how to overcome what you've just conquered.

This Monday Morning is simply a reminder that YOU CAN'T STOP! Your accomplishments are your legacy. Your victories will be your children's accomplishment, at a younger age. Because your accomplishments are now a part of the DNA you pass down. This is just a reminder.

Have yourself an excellent Monday Morning, and you will have an amazing week.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-81426611333458706052011-04-25T07:11:00.000-04:002011-04-25T08:18:33.928-04:00Monday Morning Motivation 4/25/11An excellent Monday Morning to you and the people you care about...

Each journey in your life will begin with a first step. And this first step could signify the first time you study, the first time your write a lyric, the first time you catch a ball. It could be anything. But the point is, it is your first step, not your fifteenth step.

Anything worth accomplishing deserves a fresh start, a first step. In order to conquer a world, you must first conquer your neighbor, then your city, then your county, then your state, then your region, then your country, then your continent and so on. Many times, we fail because we decide that we want it all at once, like wanting the wedding ring but forgetting to build the friendship or trying to conquer the world but starting with your region instead of your neighborhood. We put pressure on ourselves and certain failure by not prioritizing our steps.

This morning, take the opportunity to prioritize your steps. Ask yourself, "Did I skip an important step to save time?" This morning is about positive progression and it is ALWAYS about "Passion Work".

Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you will have an excellent WEEK!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-66186526897742965812011-04-18T07:43:00.000-04:002011-04-18T07:43:01.652-04:00Monday Morning Motivation 4/18/11An Excellent Monday Morning to the World...

I dare you to say, "I can be my absolute best, this morning." I dare you. Your total life is waiting for you to not get any sleep one night because you couldn't stop creating. Your total life is waiting for you to run that extra mile this morning. Your total life is not destiny or fate, it is simply what awaits.

The importance of starting your week on the right track has nothing to do with putting your best foot forward. It has everything to do with realizing that every step or every move you make has the potential to be a great one. In your mind, you must put a new plan to action; that every step or every move you make, is the best step leading to your next step. Just think "Consistency and Momentum" this morning. Think about what you have been building and what it took for you to get to this morning, still standing with your life's work. Clear your minds' clutter, whether of failed goals, terrible relationships, anything that is taking up a lions share of your current thoughts. Because in order to grow your work, you will need every bit of space you could open up, to continue on your path to success. And please remember, your path and your success are your OWN. Enjoy every moment, every accomplishment, and each time someone congratulates you. Even your dreams need reinforcement.

Have an excellent Monday Morning, so you could have an excellent week. Stay strong and motivated, while motivating others...

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-14658528294655583022011-04-04T07:24:00.000-04:002011-04-04T07:48:40.642-04:00Monday Morning Motivation (4/4/11)An Excellent Monday Morning to All!

Last week, the focus was on truly going out there and commanding your "NOW". And from so many messages I've received throughout the week, you've made your "NOW" matter to the world. Because the world is your enormity. It is NOT an exaggeration. What you do this Monday Morning can, and will change the world. Say to yourself, "My Cause is your Effect."

We are dominoes in this life. We move forward, for others to move forward. Our momentum takes us forward, but the people we touch, the people we inspire, protects us from hitting the ground by giving us something to lean on.

So this morning, "Support your Supporters." Support those that pushed your forward to a point that you pushed someone else forward. Support isn't always constant. And it doesn't have to be constant to make an impact on your life, and the lives that you inspire. By supporting the dominoes on both sides of your world, you'll bring all the positive energy back to one place to form a special formation of unity in life. How could you not WIN this week? You WILL!!!!!

Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you'll have an Excellent Week!

(All Twitter users, please utilize #DominoeSupport as much as you can this week. And if anyone ask you what it means, refer this to www.TheRacetoNowhere.Blogspot.com #MondayMorningMotivation for 4/4/11)

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-26012489467448890562011-03-28T07:23:00.000-04:002011-03-28T08:29:04.264-04:00Monday Morning Motivation (3/28/11)This Monday Morning and this week is YOURS! No Doubt about it! You will NOT be denied. It is impossible and I will tell you why.

Because your greatness knows no bounds. The only thing that could stop you from reaching your goals would be turning your back on completing them. Make your phone calls this morning. Set up your lunch and your dinner meetings for this week, this morning. Make your future happen this morning!

I remember hearing a Mixed Martial Arts fighter say, "An opponent could defeat me in the ring, but they can't defeat my heart. My heart is undefeated." And so was that fighter. Your heart can't be defeated this week! Go Get'em!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-19794343212060186322011-03-22T11:06:00.001-04:002011-03-22T11:06:51.695-04:00Chris Brown: Why He Needs your Support

Short and sweet is the way to go, so here goes nothing.

We can all agree that the incident between Chris Brown and Rihanna, A FEW YEARS AGO, startled many of us. That incident changed the course of their careers, and in hindsight, not for the better.

The Villian and the Victim had a line drawn between them, and on the scarred surface, Rihanna stood out to be the overwhelming victim, while Chris' image underneath the surface was scarred forever.

Chris Brown was placed on probation, took Anger Management classes, and started his sky rocketing career at the time, from the bottom up. Rihanna took the opportunity in a mainstream interview to call Chris of all things, a monster. Rihanna's camp fed off of her then current position as a victim to sell records.

Today, Chris Brown releases his new album "F.A.M.E.". And during his media blitz, stopped by Good Morning America. My media experience would tell me that his publicists gave Good Morning America a list of topics Chris felt comfortable talking about. I'm sure his incident with Rihanna was completely off limits. They went against those limits and still brought up the incident.

This morning, Chris Brown is in the news for his outburst and breaking of windows, backstage. And everybody has an opinion, which places Chris Brown back into the Villian role. Contrary to popular critiques, Chris Brown has the right to be angry. This is his day. He has done his service, and has apologized countless times for an incident, we'll never know the full story about. It is unfair to him, that the media paints him as the poster child for relationship violence. It is unfair that he must still answer questions about that incident. And it is unfair that his anger is not being seen as a person whom has been beat down himself, for the past three years by society. Yes, he was wrong for what he done. But you can't make him as wrong as you felt he was the day after the news broke, and carry that to today.

So here is what must be done. Chris Brown simply needs your support, or no words from you at all. You need to understand what made him angry this morning, as you would like to be understood in your time of growth. You can't be so narrow minded towards others while wanting people to take you seriously.

Also, Rihanna needs to step up and say two words: Move on. They were young, at the height of their careers and far too sheltered to have been in a relationship in the first place. Rihanna's camp should know there are no more dollars to be made for her as a victim. Rihanna, please end this. It may just help your career as well.

Someone, anybody needs to step up for Chris Brown. And Good Morning America should be ashamed of themselves. Although I don't figure they will be. They got what they want, a story that trends their name, a promotional tool for themselves.

And people wonder why I stepped away from Journalism :(
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-10588123710108523122011-03-21T08:36:00.001-04:002011-03-21T08:36:04.077-04:00Monday Morning Motivation (3/21/11)An excellent Monday Morning to you:

This morning, the motivation will be short and sweet: be yourself!

Be yourself in its truest form. Be yourself because when you're not, the people you surround yourself with aren't as well. Be yourself, good or bad, upstanding or dirtbag, heroic or villian. Your ability to smile will grow with each day you learn something new about what makes you, YOU.

Execute with excellence this week!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-66253486051557412622011-03-14T13:23:00.001-04:002011-03-14T13:23:57.346-04:00Know Your Role, or Shut Your MouthLearn your role in the lives of the people around you... This is an universal accomplishment, something that we all can share the joy of the first time we tied our shoes on our own. It felt so good, didn't it?

Some of us may not remember the exact day it happened. Many of us relive this accomplishment through our children, our nephews and nieces, etc. The accomplishment seems small, routine to us now. But we can't allow it to be. The moment we've learned to tie our shoes, in our young minds, anything was possible. And although those strings we become lose and we'd have to tie our shoes again, we knew we could do it again. And some of us even utilized the double knot when our laces gave us too much trouble.

These thoughts brought me to momentum, and how the smallest things to our world, can add to that momentum. We mustn't forget to believe in ourselves, our capabilities. Realistically, we can still do anything we put our mind to, if we keep our accomplishments important to our spirits. Remove the routine from you accomplishments, and build upon it. We will tie our shoes, our ties, our scarves, etc. and the child within us will smile that beautiful energetic smile of hope for the future.

Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you will have an EXCELLENT WEEK!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-53598003365738710052011-03-08T08:00:00.001-05:002011-03-08T08:00:02.337-05:00To Care is to feel ExcellentYes, you can be completely happy in a relationship, without love.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607708394586593456.post-31705275991838419562011-03-07T07:24:00.000-05:002011-03-07T07:24:59.204-05:00Monday Morning Motivation (3/7/11)An Excellent Monday Morning is YOURS!

Personally, I must say that last Monday Morning was a changing point in my life. I not only write these letters, I live these letters. And last week, I was hit by a shot of motivation. Those that believe in me, still believe after all these years.

In a society driven by proving people wrong or accepting jealousy as a right of passage, I choose my friends, colleagues and family as my motivation. I've stayed so far away from the "hate", dodging it whenever I could. Why would I want for someone to continue telling me that I am not capable? Why would I want to keep my enemy closer? I don't see the point in either option. There is more to life. And that MORE can be achieved through one way, support.

So on this Monday Morning, use the process of elimination to shine a light on the people which without a shadow of a doubt, bring worth to your life. And to create a circle of motivation, "Support your Supporters."

Have an excellent Monday Morning, and you'll have an excellent week.

"Limitless" Starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish & Robert De Niro will be released on March 18, 2011. Bradley plays the role of Eddie Morra, an unemployed writer that is dumped by his girlfriend, Linda (wow, the story of my life). He is down and out when he is introduced to a drug called NZT. NZT makes Eddie more focused and confident. These mental upgrades turn him into an immediate success, wanted by all, to be used and to be killed.

When I heard about this movie, I instantly thought about a documentary I watched a little over a year ago about Adderall. High School students, College students and even professors are using this drug as a way to enhance their focus as well as extend their time without sleep to get work done. The drug was geared for people diagnosed with A.D.D. But on college campuses and in high school hallways, it is the best kept secret to better grades.

Now that you have seen the trailer for the movie, check out the videos below. Then ask yourself, "Is Art imitating Life?" After that, ask yourself the most important question, "With education in America already standing as the more the money, the better the education, is Adderall extending the learning gap even further?" Leave your thoughts, share this story.
